The inviting waters of Algoa Bay remain warm year-round, create a playground for various watersports any time to the year.
Blue Flag status has been awarded to Humewood Beach, Wells Estate Beach and King's Beach, ensuring good water quality and adequate facilities.

The McArthur Baths Swimming Pool Complex, at King's Beach Promenade has two swimming pools, changing rooms, and a children's plash pool with life guards on duty at all times. The pools are open everyday from September to April.

The Shark Rock Pier at Hobie Beach provides sheltered rock pools, great for snorkeling in summer. "The Pipe" at Pollok Beach is a favourite location for surfers, with it's most excellent waves. Family and kids will enjoy the protected waters and sandy beaches of Humewood Beach.

Those looking for something a little quieter, should head further north to Bluewater Bay, Brighton Beach, and St. Georges Strand, great for long walks on empty beaches and whale watching.
