Exotic Animal World (previously Butterfly World), located on Route 44 in Klapmuts, Cape Winelands, is a unique destination that offers an immersive experience for animal lovers and families alike. Please Note: we no longer have butterflies on-site.
Due to adjustments in international trade during the coronavirus pandemic, we have ceased importing butterfly pupae from overseas.
Local butterflies are not suitable for tropical garden displays. As a result, we are no longer a butterfly park and have shifted our focus to caring for rescued and surrendered exotic pets.
Our tropical gardens now feature a variety of exotic rescue birds, and during your visit, you can also see hundreds of other animals that have found a new lease on life here at the sanctuary.
