Ben was a gracious host. We stayed in the Nest, and it was quaint and comfortable. The view is certainly a reason I would return. It's a quick drive into Clarens, and as a family of three we had a magical weekend

The Willows cottage is beautifully appointed, luxurious and well equipped. Serene silence is broken only by the glorious calls of local birdlife. The cottage has majestic views of the Lesotho mountains and there are lovely walking trails from the property into the local Free State hills. Gas in the kitchen, with excellent culinary equipment and crockery, makes self-catering a pleasure. Thanks to the folk at Barbet Cottages for a wonderful stay - we will be back!

We stayed in the 4 roomed cottage, friends stayed one night in the larger cottage (bedroom mattress there slightly hollow) but the decor was beautiful, Ben very accommodating and friendly. Also the dogs! Poor Labbie seems to suffer badly with hip replacement, which saddened me tremendously!
We had a great time, wanted to stay Sunday as well but were prevented due to circumstances.

We had a wonderful two night stay at the Willows Cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the farm - the Willows is a new cottage with lovely furniture, furnishings, and very good quality crockery, cutlery, etc. Cameron Oliver the owner is very friendly and helpful and advised us on places of interest in the vicinity of their farm. All beds have electric blankets which were very welcome at this time of year in the Free State! The cottage also has a lovely fireplace which warmed up the entire cottage. Clarens and Fouriesburg are both about 15-20 minutes drive from the farm - so it is nicely located to visit these two towns.
