Horse and Pony Riding Rides are scheduled for 09h00, 10h30 & 14h00 daily, weather permitting (no 14h00 rides on Sundays) at R200.00 per horse ride of an hour. Pony rides are R100.00 (approx. half hour). Bookings to be made an hour in advance at Reception - riders need to be at Reception at least 15 minutes prior to the ride to sign an Indemnity and to collect a compulsory riding helmet. FOR SAFETY REASONS NO GALLOPING IS PERMITTED. Boats Rowing boats are free. Mountain Bike and Peddle Boat Hire Mountain bikes and peddle boats are available for hire from Reception at R50.00 per hour. Trout Fishing As a guest of Lake Naverone you are permitted to fish the waters for trout, however this can only be done on condition that you use trout tackle. Fishing is mainly CATCH AND RELEASE—those kept for the table are R50.00 Each. Tennis Racquets and balls are available at the Office. Walks and Hikes You may walk anywhere on the 400ha estate including the river frontage beyond our airstrip, but not in the vicinity of the Owners’ and Manager’s residences. Walking in Garden Castle Wilderness area requires an Ezemvelo / Parks Board permit, available at Reception at R45.00 per adult or R22.50 per child under 12 years of age. Permits are valid only for the day of issue.
Available from Reception…. Sketch map for walking Bird & Mammal Check Lists (free). Information on trips up Sani Pass (passports!). Lake Naverone mono-grammed clothing. Briquettes / firewood / firelighters. Various board games (no charge). Life jackets for lake activities. A selection of books. Fishing rods at R200.00 deposit plus R30.00/day. Various Flies are also available.

Terme van betaling

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
? A deposit to the value of 50% of the total booking amount is payable within 5 days of the reservation date in order to secure the booking. For one night bookings the total amount will be required to secure the booking.
? The person in whose name the booking is made is responsible for settling all charges. All persons booked for will be liable for payment, even in the event of failure to arrive.
? Check in time is 14:00 and check out time 10:00.
? In the event of your choice of cottage not being up to standard at the time of your arrival, due to maintenance or an unforeseen event, we reserve the right to assign you to a similar cottage.
? For safety reasons we do not allow children on the lake, or in boats, unless they are accompanied by an adult. We also request that anybody that cannot swim, bring a life jacket to wear.
? Bedding and towels are supplied, but please bring your own towels to use for swimming.
? If a cancellation for a booking is received at least two months before arrival date, a refund of the deposit minus an amount equal to one day’s stay will be made. No refunds will be made for cancellations received within two months of the arrival date.
? Accommodation accounts are to be paid in full on arrival. In the event of late arrivals guests are to report to reception first opportunity in the morning to settle outstanding accounts and sign the guest register.
? No motorbikes are allowed.
? Only fly fishing with standard fly- fishing equipment is allowed.
? Remember: Antifreeze for your vehicle in winter. Passports if you intend going up Sani Pass.
? Lake Naverone is strictly a family resort and therefore loud music or disorderly behaviour will not be tolerated.
? If you want to fly a drone or any other remote control device please seek authorization from management at the office

Dog Friendly Cottage (small dogs only)
? Dog must sleep indoors
? No dogs allowed on furniture or beds and must be tick and flea free.
? Dogs must be on a leash when walking outside of the cottage perimeter.
? A R500.00 dog damage deposit will be required.
? Please make sure to use a poop scoop at all times
? Dogs will not be allowed to continuously bark
? Please bring your own dog bowls and food
? Please note that we are in a natural area and that snakes and baboon are common here.
? We are surrounded by a world heritage site and therefore dogs will be shot on site if they are found within the park. It is therefore advised that you keep a close eye on your pup.
? Consideration must be given to resident dogs.

Accounts and Check Out Times

Accounts are to be settled on arrival. Late Arrivals should settle between 08h00 and 10h00 the following morning. CHECK OUT TIME IS 10H00. On Sundays kindly ensure all outstanding payments are settled before noon as the Office closes at 12h30. Please also return any oars, trout rods, bikes or tennis equipment you may have, before Noon.
Office Hours
Reception is open from 07h30 to 16h30 Monday to Saturday, and on Sunday from 07h30 to 12h00.
Laundry
Guests wishing to have laundry done at R25.00/kg must fill in the ‘Laundry List’ and either hand it to their maid early in the morning or take it to Reception, early. This service is not available on Sundays.
Servicing of Cottages
Your maid will service your cottage in the morning and in the afternoon. Our staff clean more than one cottage each so they may only get to your cottage during mid-morning – your understanding in this regard would be appreciated.
