Bancroft B & B is in Hilton, in the forested evergreen hills above Pietermaritzburg, the capital of Kwazulu-Natal. With its beautiful Georgian facade, Bancroft offers 3 extremely comfortable, well appointed, luxury B&B suites. We can accommodate 8 people in a homely environment with a loved garden.

The Family Suite - 4 persons, has 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom with a king-size bed, and the other with twin beds.  Both share an en-suite bathroom which has a bath with a hand shower, basin and toilet. This spacious suite is cool, can accommodate 4 persons, and looks onto the gardens at the front and the back of the house.

The Double Suite - 2 persons, has one bedroom with twin beds or a king-size bed - whichever is preferred, and the en-suite bathroom has a lovely large shower, toilet and basin. Facing the morning sunrise, this suite has a pretty garden outlook.

The Upstairs Double Suite - 2 persons, has one bedroom with a queen-size bed. This suite has a lovely big en-suite bathroom, which has a huge bath tub, basin and toilet. There is also a separate shower. Fully carpeted, it has the addition of air-con, and a pretty view to the forests over the rock pool.

Breakfast is the highlight of the day! We offer a choice of cereals and hot oats, yoghurt, muesli and fruit salad or a fruit platter, a full English breakfast with eggs and bacon, sausage, tomato and mushrooms. Toast and jam or cheese, and tea, coffee or fruit juice. Vegetarian, vegan and special dietary requirements are catered for, and juicing is an optional extra. Dinners on request.

We are a non smoking and non drinking establishment. We have pets.

Bancroft B&B is centrally situated and easily found on the R103, and within 2kms of some good restaurants.
Ryan our son, takes off road motorbike tours from Bancroft straight into the forest behind us, almost to Lesotho - completely off road, visiting some of the most breathtaking spots imaginable.
So many places to visit so near by. The Midlands is as it says - the middle of everything!
