Cancellation Policy

Like all Hotels and Guest Houses we have a strict Cancellation policy to protect us against cancellations. We only have a few rooms and cannot make up business lost. Once a room is booked it is no longer available to sell. If cancelled for whatever reason you will be liable for full payment whether we have a deposit from you or not. Verbal and email bookings are binding as a confirmation of the booking. Companies/Travel agencies operating on a Bill Back Basis will also be liable to pay cancellation fees if cancelled whether we have a voucher or not.

Please make sure you or your clients are aware of our policy before accepting accommodation at our establishment.

Avalon Guest Manor reserves the right to charge the following cancellation fee should a reservation be cancelled within the following period:

10% administration fee if cancelled 10 working days or more prior to arrival
50% cancellation fee if cancelled 7 working days or less prior to arrival
100% cancellation fee if cancelled 4 working days or less prior to arrival or in the event of a non arrival
Cancellation Fees apply when a guest alters the dates to shorten a stay

The right to waiver the cancellation fee rests with the Owners, compelling/extenuating circumstances will be reviewed.

Avalon Guest Manor will consider the following to be compelling/extenuating circumstances, under which cancellation may be accepted, purely on compassionate basis, at no charge, provided that proof is furnished:

Life threatening and unforeseen illness/ sickness of client(s) or their immediate family member(s)
Death of client(s) or their immediate family member(s).
